"Why We Crave Horror Movies" by Stephen King

In this essay the author tries to demonstrate that the modern day horror movie are relief of violence, and are made of adrenaline and fun, also it could produce nightmares over us. The author uses horror movies because of their nature. Yes, it can be related to our real life in many ways, but horror movies are not the only thing that could feed the violence. Video games, domestic violence, and is bad companies are some examples of those things that could feed the violence nowadays. Therefore, I’m disagreeing with the author in this essay, because I don’t think that horror movies are the causes of the high percentage of violence in our society. Even he states that all of mankind is mentally ill, and this illness is controlled through horror movies in a variety of ways.

In fact, People get their knowledge for what they are learning, not for what they are seeing. In addition, people have the ability to analyze the events in the life, and are able to recognize the difference between the good and the bad things. So, it means that way they will create their own criteria to recognize events in the life, and in the same way they will form as a person intellectually.
